 New for January 2019, designer Virgil Abloh has teamed up with Nike again to build on the success of last years 'The Ten' collection. Moving away from the predominantly neutral color offerings of its predecessors, the Off White Air Max 90 Desert Ore is dressed in a tan colorway with a translucent midsole that brings a completely unique look to the crep. On this pair of Air Max 90 Desert Ore, a subtle shade of orange is revealed, the same color found on the upper. The heavily deconstructed industrial approach with this item resembles the "Ghostly" half of Virgil's collaboration with Nike, characterized by an aesthetic that feels almost unfinished, like a blueprint or prototype. Virgil Abloh's transformation of the classic Off White Desert Ore silhouette, of course, wouldn't be complete without that signature cable tie, ensuring everyone knows what you've just come across and no one can dispute its quality and authenticity. This kick will set Nike on the right track for 2019 and I have no doubt that this foray into a more diverse colorway is just the beginning for the Off-White line.
